Description
The Phantom F-4E/F is still regarded as the workhorse of the western air forces. In addition to use as a fighter, in the German air force the Phantom has a second role as a tactical combat aircraft. Nowadays the operational Phantom only flies where it all began, with Fighter Wing 71 "Richthofen". There where in 2009 the anniversary was celebrated appropriately to its status - with a specially designed livery on an F-4F "50 Jahre JG71".
