Description

The Transit has been the best-selling light commercial vehicle in Europe for 40 years, and in some countries the term “Transit” has passed into common usage as a generic term applying to any light commercial van. Over 5,000,000 Transits have been produced since 1965. DER Television Rentals was founded in 1938 as Thorn Rentals and was re-branded DER. From 1968 onwards, DER was merged into Radio Rentals to become the world’s largest TV rental firm. In 1998 Thorn plc was acquired by Nomura’s Finance Group. The Radio Rentals brand still operates today in Australia.
