Hydraulic Saw Leonardo's study of a Hydraulic Saw dates from his first years in Florence and is inserted in an age-old tradition of working machines. It was more meant to documenting and enriching saws invented by other engineers than being an original invention. In the model the water wheel and the cart for the tree trunk are movable, designed by the original drawing and by the historical model of the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonoardo da Vinci in Milano.
