The MCW Metrobus ran in London service for over 25 years, with London Transport purchasing around 1400 vehicles from 1978, most being the Mk1 with asymmetrical windscreens. Metroline Travel was established in 1994 and based in Harrow, Middlesex. Routes operated in the North London area and into central London. After some experimenting, the livery was finalised as LT red with a blue skirt and white relief lining.
Garages were initially located in Cricklewood, Edgware, Harrow Weald, North Wembley and Willesden. Metroline became the last operator of Metrobuses in London with three due to run on the last day – M 1076, 1197 and 1250. Unfortunately, staff decided not to take them on service so they spent the last operational day in the garage.
This is a Dual Destination/Split Run model. OM45120A features the destination No.113 Edgware Station and OM45120B features the destination No.82 North Finchley
