Niven Burge started Mini Se7en racing in 1990 at Castle Combe finishing the season with several top five places. In 1991 Burge won the best newcomer award after recording his first win and showing some exciting pace which included a lap record for the series. Burge raced intermittently until 2001 before competing in more rounds from 2005 onwards where he ended the season in eleventh place winning the Armstrong glass Mini and most improved driver award. 2006 was also an eventful year with a big shunt at Brands Hatch leaving Burge sidelined until rounds ten and eleven at Rockingham, picking up two fine second places. His first drive in this Miglia was in 2008 and drove in both disciplines in 2009 which included a first national win at Rockingham in the Se7en and a fifth place in the Miglia straight afterwards including another fastest lap.
