Description

A Multi-Purpose Model
Designed to be built as a magnificent static display model, a flying rubber band powered model, a gas powered model or an electric powered model. All the parts are included for a rubber band powered model but further parts are needed to make this model gas or electric powered. Instructions on how to do this are included.

Kit Features
A complete set of beautiful decals, scale WW2 plastic wheels, light plastic nose cowl, spinner, gun troughs, exhausts and air scoops. Bubble canopies with window areas clearly defined plastic props, rubber motor, light tissue covering, clean die-cut balsa parts, clay for balancing model, reinforced wire and vinyl landing gear plus generous quantities of strip and balsa stock. For GAS and U-CONTROL INSTALLATION: vinyl firewall, tip guide, bellcrank base and control handle. Push rod wire, bellcrank, elevation horn, hinge material, flying lines and stock for all balsa elevators.

About The P-51 Mustang
The North American P-51 Mustang was probably the best all-around single-seat piston engine fighter to be used in World War 2. The first U.S.A.A.F. combat group arrived in Britain in November 1943 and from then until the end of the war, the P-51 earned an enviable reputation as a long-range fighter-escort for the B-17 and B-24 bombers. By war's end, P-51s had destroyed 4,950 enemy aircraft in the air, more then any other fighter in europe.
