In 1914 the first ever Greyhound coach was born, transporting miners in Minnesota in the United States. Greyhound has since grown to become one of the most iconic and recognised brands in the world. In North America Greyhound carries around 22 million customers to around 3,800 destinations every year.
In 2007 Aberdeen based transport giant, FirstGroup, acquired Greyhound and in September 2009 brought the first ever Greyhound coaches to the UK. Greyhound UK currently operates direct, low cost, luxurious coach travel between Portsmouth and London and Southampton and London. Customer service is at the heart of Greyhound UK – each coach is fitted with free wi-fi, plug sockets, complimentary newspapers, leather seats and 20% more legroom than standard coaches.
