Description

A Multi-Purpose Model
Designed to be built as a magnificent static display model, a flying rubber band powered model, a gas powered model or an electric powered model. All the parts are included for a rubber band powered model but further parts are needed to make this model gas or electric powered. Instructions on how to do this are included.

Kit Features
A complete set of beautiful decals, scale WW2 plastic wheels, light plastic nose cowl, spinner, gun troughs, exhausts and air scoops. Bubble canopies with window areas clearly defined plastic props, rubber motor, light tissue covering, clean die-cut balsa parts, clay for balancing model, reinforced wire and vinyl landing gear plus generous quantities of strip and balsa stock. For GAS and U-CONTROL INSTALLATION: vinyl firewall, tip guide, bellcrank base and control handle. Push rod wire, bellcrank, elevation horn, hinge material, flying lines and stock for all balsa elevators.

About Supermarine Spitfire
No fighter of World War 2 is more deserving of fame than the Supermarine Spitfire. During the Battle of Britain, the Spitfires blunted the attack of the German Luftwaffe and buoyed British hopes in their darkest hour. It also flew in every front between 1939 and 1945 and was engaged in every major action fought by the R.A.F. in that time. Altogether, 20,351 Spitfires were built by the end of the war.
